Pelican Landing

In 1985, Pelican Landing created the 18-hole Pelican's Nest Golf Club.  The 369 acre course was designed by Tom Fazio and also serves guests of the nearby Ritz Carlton and Registry hotel from sister community Pelican Bay.  As this course grew in popularity, the developer began purchasing surrounding property for development and in 1989, the community of Pelican Landing was emerged.  The first residents moved into the community in February of 1990.  Since that time, the community has grown to include single family homes, villas, coach homes, garden condominiums, mid-rise condominiums, and bay front high rise condominiums.

Nestled conveniently between Fort Myers and Naples on US 41, Pelican Landing is comprised of 2,365 acres and is bordered on the south by Spring Creek, a designated "Outstanding Florida Water" by the state of Florida, and the west by Estero Bay, an aquatic preserve which leads to the Gulf of Mexico.

Through careful planning and development, the lands pristine natural beauty has been preserved and is enjoyed by all who live in or visit this community.  Here you will find exquisite stands of live oaks, pine trees, wild palmettos, slash pines and Florida's state tree, the sabal palm.

Lush cypress hammocks, protected wildlife and preserved wetland areas are evidence of the dedication and continued work of Pelican Landing to preserve, protect and enhance the natural environment found here.

This gated community offers privacy to it's residents through the use of Privacy Officers, employed by the Association.   These officers staff the front gates 24 hours a day to monitor access to the community as well as offer information and aid to the residents and their guests.

Residents of the community are issued registered automobile authorization for opening the gates when entering the community.

It is requested that residents notify the front gates a day or night in advance when expecting guests.

For friends or family members who do not reside in Pelican Landing on a permanent basis, temporary passes are available.

Members pay an annual assessment to the Pelican Landing Community Association which covers the amenities currently provided as well as the 24 hour privacy surveillance with roving patrols and three manned privacy gates, plus cable TV.
